Indian Exports Have Hit The Milestone Of $700 Billion -Mark: Piyush Goyal

Union Minister of Commerce & Industry, Piyush Goyal arrived in Rome on a two-day visit to Italy. He met the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy, Antonio Tajani and both leaders reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral trade and economic relations. According to Goyal, currently in Rome for trade talks with Italian authorities and businesses, exports grew by 14% last financial year. Imports stood at 892 billion dollars… ballooning the trade deficit to 192 billion dollars. Goods exports made up 64% of the exports while services comprised 36 per cent of exports.India’s exports have risen by 100 billion dollars in the past two years despite geo-political issues and a slowdown in the western economies.
