Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat: It's Not Our Issue, Will Have No Impact On Ties With Adanis

In response to questions regarding the impact of U.S. Indictment charges against the Adani Group, Israeli Economy Minister Nir Barkat stated that it would not affect the trade relationship between Israel and the Adani Group. Barkat emphasized that the issue of indictment charges is not relevant to Israel and would have no bearing on the Haifa Port deal. Adani Group operates Haifa Port in northern Israel, having completed its purchase of the port for 4 billion shekels ($1.03 billion) in January 2023. Haifa Port is one of Israel's primary seaports, handling 99% of the country's goods transported by sea.
