After the Narendra Modi govt cut cooking gas prices, the Siddaramaiah govt in Karnataka has launched a scheme that gives 2,000 rupees per month to women heads of families. Both parties have announced many schemes targeted at women in the states they rule with an eye on women voters. Here is a report.
