Odisha CM Majhi Eyes Global Investments In Semiconductors, IT, And Petrochemicals

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi met with ambassadors and representatives from 34 countries in New Delhi to promote the state’s vast investment opportunities. Majhi showcased Odisha’s potential in key sectors such as semiconductors, petrochemicals, IT, green energy, electronics, and food processing, aiming to secure Rs 5 lakh crore in investments over the next five years. Nations like Indonesia, Norway, Singapore, China, Japan, and the USA showed interest in possible collaborations. Highlighting Odisha's robust industrial landscape, investor-friendly policies, and ease of doing business, Majhi invited global investors to the 'Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025,' scheduled for January 28-29 in Bhubaneswar. Odisha's Industries Minister, Sampad Chandra Swain, expressed optimism, noting positive responses from key sectors like IT, food processing, semiconductors, and renewable energy.
