Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated the tallest national flag in the country, soaring 418 feet high, at the Attari-Wagah Border in Punjab's Amritsar district. Nitin Gadkari expressed his happiness at unveiling the flag, calling it a golden day in his life. He also remarked that NHAI's opportunity to install the tallest flag filled him with pride. The new flag stands 18 feet taller than Pakistan's flag, as Pakistan had hoisted a 400-foot flag adjacent to the Wagah check-post on the opposite side back in August 2017.
