Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress government, accusing it of rampant corruption and total administrative failure in West Bengal. Shah alleged that apart from illegal infiltration, Bengal is reeling under multiple scams including chit funds, SSC recruitment, ration, MGNREGA and housing schemes. He named several jailed TMC leaders and questioned Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s accountability. Shah also raised serious concerns over women’s safety, claiming lawlessness has pushed the state into fear. He said the people of Bengal are waiting for elections to vote out the TMC government.
