Part 2 of the explosive India Today Special Investigation Team (SIT) sting has unmasked a horrifying nationwide syndicate stretching from Kanti Nagar warehouses to markets across India. The investigation exposed rogue traders Shivam, Deepak Malik, and Vishal (alias Bachchu) buying expired FMCG stocks including TRESemme shampoos, Candid powders, mouthwashes, medicines, and sanitary pads literally "by the kilogram" for just ₹50–₹60. The network chemically erases original details, uses matching high-quality duplicate stickers to push forward expiry dates up to 2029, and generates fake GST bills to pump toxic, hazardous products straight into retail supply chains.
