Minister Piyush Goyal Sets Ambitious Roadmap For India’s Tech And Manufacturing Future

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal urged Indian industry to move beyond “assembled in India” toward products that are designed, engineered and manufactured in India. Calling for deeper value addition and self-reliance in critical components, he stressed the importance of quality, sustainability and innovation. Goyal said India must focus on zero defect and zero effect manufacturing while building Brand India globally. He also highlighted the need for stronger investments in R&D and global standards. Emphasising India’s talent advantage, he called on the country to lead the world in emerging technologies like AI, machine learning and quantum computing.
