A pall of gloom descended on Indian cinema as veteran actor and director Nana Patekar passed away at the age of 75. Malhar Patekar, son of the veteran actor confirmed the development.
The acclaimed actor was rushed to a local hospital in Goa after family members found him lying unconscious at his residence. Medical personnel immediately attended to him upon his arrival, but doctors declared him dead shortly after admission, according to reports.
Further details regarding the cause of death are awaited, and arrangements are being made to transport his mortal remains to Mumbai for the final rites.
