Jai Jai Ram has arrived as the first song from Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited Ramayana: Part 1, bringing together A.R. Rahman’s music, Kumar Vishwas’ lyrics, and the voices of Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh in a devotional track released on Ganesh Chaturthi.

The makers have also unveiled the first poster featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Set beside a flowing river and surrounded by a forest, the image offers the first detailed glimpse of the film’s visual interpretation of the epic.

The cast goes far beyond Ranbir and Sai Pallavi. Yash plays Ravana, Sunny Deol takes on Hanuman, Ravi Dubey appears as Lakshmana and Arun Govil, who famously played Ram on television, returns to the story as King Dasharatha.

With a reported budget of around ₹4,000 crore, Ramayana is being mounted on an enormous scale. Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer is also involved alongside A.R. Rahman, while DNEG and Prime Focus are handling major visual-effects work.

Two-Part Epic
The makers are splitting the ambitious epic into two films, with Ramayana: Part 1 scheduled for November 6 and the second instalment expected during Diwali 2027. The first film's music, poster and earlier trailer have now begun revealing how the massive project is taking shape.
