Leading investor and trader Rakesh Jhunjhunwala on Wednesday said his 97-98 per cent wealth is invested in equities, and that he is extremely bullish on Indian stock market.
In an interview with NDTV, the owner of Rare Enterprises said, "Until any unforeseen or unthinkable circumstances happen, India's bull market run cannot be stopped."
"The bull run in the equity market is a product of the bull run of the economy," Jhunjhunwala added.
Popularly known as the Big Bull on Dalal Street, Jhunjhunwala recently pledged to donate 25 per cent or Rs 5,000 crore (whichever is lower) of his portfolio on charity on the day he turns 60 i.e. July 5, 2020.
The billionaire investor is yet to decide which charitable causes he will support, but primarily he is willing to invest in malnutrition and water resources.
"I am still structuring what kind of causes I'll support, but some of the causes that I think I shall invest in is malnutrition and water resources. One problem that we must attack on is malnutrition because not only does it affect children mentally but also physically," said Jhunjhunwala.
On water resources, the ace investor said instead of building dams, India must focus on water conservation as the country is home to some fantastic ancient water systems.
