A day ahead of the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, ace investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala advised women investors to not invest in jewellery and always seek professional help when it comes to investing.
In an interview with Bollywood actor Katrina Kaif on ET Now, Jhunjhunwala also said that young women should take investment in housing seriously.
"One advice I give to every young Indian is that the most difficult thing in urban India is housing. So first thing that you do is try and buy house as that gives a great sense of security," said the owner of Rare Enterprises.
"Professionalise, manage, take advice and though I am a shareholder in Tanishq, I will say jewellery should be last resort. But I know diamond is women's best friend," he added.
Meanwhile, earlier in the month, the leading investor and trader Jhunjhunwala had said that his 97-98 per cent wealth is invested in equities, and that he is extremely bullish on Indian stock market.

Popularly known as the Big Bull on Dalal Street, Jhunjhunwala recently pledged to donate 25 per cent or Rs 5,000 crore (whichever is lower) of his portfolio on charity on the day he turns 60 i.e. July 5, 2020. The billionaire investor is yet to decide which charitable causes he will support, but primarily he is willing to invest in malnutrition and water resources.
