Here are India's 10 best-performing police stations

The central government has recently released a list of best-performing police stations in the country. The rankings were done based on measures and steps taken by the police stations in handling cases like property disputes, crime against women, and weaker sections of the society.

10. State: Madhya PradeshDistrict: SheopurPolice Station: BargawaRanking: 10Madhya Pradesh's Bargawa station is at number ten position among the top police stations in the country. This is the second police station of MP in the list. AJK Burhanpur station is on the second spot.

9. State: GoaDistrict: North GoaPolice Station: BicholimRanking: 9

Goa's Bicholim police station is on number nine position among the top ten best performing police stations in the country. Its strict digital implementation and reduction in crime rates has helped the police station achieve the feat.

8. State: TelanganaDistrict: KarimnagarPolice Station: Choppadandi (M)Ranking: 8Choppadandi police station is ranked eighth. The police station is famous for being people-friendly and eco-friendly. Apart from providing basic facilities, the station also provides additional services to the people. Quality lockups, toilets, waiting halls, CCTV cameras are the features that helped the police station secure a rank.

7. State: RajasthanDistrict: JhalawarPolice Station: BakaniRanking: 7Bakani police station of Jhalawar district has secured the seventh rank in the list of India's top 10 police stations.  Also, it is the sole police station from Rajasthan in the list this year.

6. State: DelhiDistrict: South West District Baba Haridas Nagar, DwarkaPolice Station: Baba Haridas Nagar, DwarkaRanking: 6Baba Haridas Nagar police station has secured the sixth rank in the list of top 10 best police stations. The station is also known for extending relentless services to those in need, especially weak and old aged citizens, who mostly find it difficult to pay electricity bills or buy medicines from nearby medical stores.

State: Arunachal PradeshDistrict: Dibang ValleyPolice Station: AniniRanking: 5Anini Police Station, located in the serene Dibang Valley District of Arunachal Pradesh, is a model police station in the state. For quick responses to complaints and taking preventive measures against crime, the Anini Police station is at number four.

4. State: Tamil NaduDistrict: TheniPolice Station: AWPS TheniRanking: 4Theni All Women Police Station has secured the fourth position at the national level among top 10 best performing police stations in the country.

3. State: Madhya PradeshDistrict: BurhanpurPolice Station: AJK BurhanpurRanking: 3Madhya Pradesh's AJK Burhanpur is on the number three position. It is also the only state which has two police stations registered in the top 10 best police stations list.

State: GujaratDistrict: MahisagarPolice Station: BalasinorRanking: 2Balsinor in Gujarat has ranked second in the top 10 list of best-performing police stations.Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing DGPs during Conference in Kutch, Gujarat, directed that parameters should be laid down for grading police stations on the basis of performances.

This police station is located in the heart of Port Blair, the capital of these islands.
