Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal has recently advised users to switch to eSIM as it is much safer and hassel free. But what exactly is an eSIM? Traditionally, we all use a physical SIM card that is basically a removable chip inserted into a mobile device that allows you to make calls and send messages. However, the eSIM embeds this functionality directly into the device's hardware. Picture it as a virtual SIM securely integrated within a smartphone, smartwatch, or any compatible device, eliminating the need for a physical card.
