Honda Challenges Hero MotoCorp With Shine 100 Deluxe And CB125 Hornet

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched Shine 100 Deluxe in the 100cc segment and CB125 Hornet in the 125cc segment. Speaking with Business Today’s Astha Oriel, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) Managing Director, CEO, and President Tsutsumu Otani shares insights into the company’s strategy of launching two products for the rural and urban markets. The launch of Shine 100DX directly pits Honda Motorcycle against Hero MotoCorp in the 100 cc segment, where the latter currently dominates the segment. In the 125cc segment, where Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India already lead, the CB125 Hornet will aid the company in gaining more volumes as the competition amongst two-wheeler manufacturers becomes intense.
