In an exclusive interview with Business Today Television during the launch of Tata's Curvv EV in Udaipur, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, stated that it is unlikely India will become a dumping ground for Chinese EVs due to increased tariffs in the US and Europe. "India is on the verge of an inflection point; the 'Make in India' initiative and PLI schemes will continue to provide strong domestic support," Srivatsa noted. He also mentioned that the number of EVs in India is not declining, and fleet operators are eagerly awaiting FAME3. "40% of Tata customers have transitioned away from ICE vehicles, and currently, 12-13% of our sales are from EVs," he shared. Watch this interview to learn more about how the Curvv's entry into the market could pave a smooth path for EVs in India.
