He shares that the department's current focus is on rate rationalisation, simplifying procedures and to cut compliance. He also shares that centre's decision of imposing a 28% goods and services tax on online gaming has fetched them Rs 3470 crore since October 1st, 2023. The centre will review its decision in March 2024, after the next GST council convenes.
