Rupee Weakness Deepens: Why INR Depreciation May Not Be A Crisis Yet | Market Guru

The Indian rupee has weakened in recent weeks, but experts believe the currency remains within a manageable range. Mihir Vora, CIO, TRUST Mutual Fund, says the recent rise in crude oil prices has been the key driver of rupee weakness, while RBI and the government have adequate policy tools to prevent any disorderly depreciation. He adds that measures such as the FCNR deposit scheme and continued capital inflows should help support the currency. At the same time, he believes the RBI is also unlikely to allow excessive rupee appreciation to protect India's export competitiveness.
