The National Stock Exchange (NSE) will introduce a one Paisa tick size for stocks priced below Rs 250 per share, effective June 10. Announced in a circular on May 24, this change aims to enhance price discovery and reflects the competition between NSE and BSE for market dominance. Tick size, the minimum price difference between bid and offer prices, will be reviewed and adjusted monthly based on the last trading day’s closing price. This initiative is expected to improve market efficiency and provide traders with more precise pricing. Business Today TV's Sakshi Batra explains.
