Brokers just outside the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) office in the National Capital are making a lot of money from people who want to swap their Rs 2000 notes. They charge up to Rs 400 for each note. The last day to exchange these notes at regular banks was October 7, but you can still do it at RBI offices. Many people who couldn't deposit or exchange their notes earlier are now waiting in long lines at these RBI offices. Each person can exchange up to Rs 20,000 worth of these notes.
