Hiroshi Nakagawa appointed chairman of Isuzu Motors India

Japanese auto manufacturer Isuzu announced key management changes on Wednesday with Hiroshi Nakagawa being appointed as the chairman of its India operations with immediate effect.

Japanese auto manufacturer Isuzu announced key management changes on Wednesday with Hiroshi Nakagawa being appointed as the chairman of its India operations with immediate effect.

Nakagawa spent over 35 years with Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan and  was actively involved in the company's business division for over 20 years in key markets, the company said in a statement.

"His appointment as the Chairman at Isuzu Motors India Private Limited will further enhance the focus of ISUZU's Indian operations. All these changes are as per the business plans of the company," the statement added.

Hiroyasu Miura, the erstwhile Chairman of Isuzu Motors India Private Limited (IMI), meanwhile, took over as the Chairman & Managing Director of Isuzu Engineering Business Centre India Private Limited (IEBCI).

"Mr. Miura will continue as a Director at IMI and Mr. Nakagawa will also assume the role of a Director at IEBCI," the company said.

In other management changes, Haruyasu Tanishige was appointed as Director at IMI. Satoshi Yamaguchi and Ichiro Murato who were Directors at IMI moved to other roles at Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan.

Isuzu Motors Limited, headquartered in Tokyo, is a global manufacturer of light, medium and heavy commercial vehicles, utility vehicles and diesel engines. IEBCI is a subsidiary of Isuzu Motors and is responsible for R&D and sourcing related activities in India.
