Uber launches 'Schedule Ride' in India
The popular app-based taxi booking service, Uber, has announced the launch of 'Schedule Ride' feature in India.

The popular app-based taxi booking service, Uber, has announced the launch of 'Schedule Ride' feature in India. This new feature allows users to pre-book an uberX or an uberGO anywhere between 15 minutes to 30 days in advance. Until now, users could only book a ride just when they needed it. The 'Schedule Ride' will be available to riders across 20 cities in India.
To pre-book a 'Schedule Ride', the user will have to select the preferred vehicle view (currently between uberGO and uberX only) and tap "Schedule a Ride" followed by the pickup date, time, location and destination. The user will have to confirm the details of the upcoming trip and tap "Schedule uberX" or "Schedule uberGO". The user will receive a reminder 24 hours and 30 minutes ahead of the pickup time, and will even receive a notification once the ride is on the way. The scheduled ride can be cancelled anytime before the ride is on the way.
