In another top-level exit, the head of Infosys' $500 million corporate venture arm, Yosuf Bashir has resigned.
Bashir had worked closely with Vishal Sikka as vice-president of new products and business development at German giant SAP SE before joining Infosys in March 2015.
Bashir's resignation from India's second largest software service provider comes close on the heels of another top-level exit after former head of mergers and acquisitions Ritika Suri quit Bengaluru-headquartered company.
Based out of Palo Alto, California, Bashir put in his papers earlier this month, according to a Livemint report.
Bashir was one of at least 16 executives who were hired from SAP at the rank of associate vice-president and above since Vishal Sikka took over as chief executive officer in August 2014. Since March last year, at least nine of these executives have quit, the report said.
Ritika Suri, who led the acquisition of Israeli automation technology firm Panaya for Infosys, was also based out of the US.
A former executive at SAP, Suri was also brought into Infosys by CEO Vishal Sikka in September 2014. She was later elevated as the EVP (Corporate Development and Ventures).
IT firm Infosys reported a 1.4 per cent rise in Q1 net profit on Friday, posting Rs 3,483 crore in net profit compared with Rs 3,436 crore in the corresponding period of last fiscal.
