Oil marketing firms on Wednesday raised the price of petrol and diesel on movement in international oil prices and rupee dollar exchange rate.
Petrol in Delhi will now be sold at Rs 59.68 per litre, effecting a hike of Rs 3.07 per litre.
Diesel in the national capital has become dearer by Rs. 1.90 per litre and will be sold at Rs 48.33 per litre.
Petrol will now sell in Kolkata at Rs 63.76 per litre. In Mumbai and Chennai, the fuel will be sold at Rs 65.79 and Rs 59.13 per litre, respectively.
In Noida, petrol will sell at Rs 63.90 per litre. In Faridabad, Gurgaon and Ghaziabad, the fuel will sell at Rs 59.82, Rs 59.69 and Rs 63.79 per litre, respectively.
The changes in the price come into effect from midnight tonight.
After deregulation of prices, oil marketing firms carry out a fortnightly review of the petrol and diesel price.
