2026 Audi Q3 India launch set for October 16 — 204 hp, dual screens and Sonos audio explained

Audi India has opened pre-bookings for the third-generation Q3 with an initial payment of ₹1 lakh through its website, myAudi Connect app and authorised dealerships. Autocar India and NDTV have reported an October 16 launch, but Audi’s public India model page did not display that date as of September 7.

Audi India’s booking announcement confirms a 2.0-litre petrol engine and quattro all-wheel drive. Reports expect 204hp, 320Nm and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, but Autocar notes that the India-spec power figures were still awaiting confirmation. Treat those outputs as expected until Audi publishes the final specification sheet.

Audi’s global technical material describes a curved panoramic display combining an 11.9-inch virtual cockpit with a 12.8-inch MMI touchscreen. Audi India shows the panoramic layout but warns that images are representational and equipment can vary by country and variant. The screen sizes should therefore not be presented as standard on every India-spec Q3 until launch.

The new cabin relocates the gear selector from the centre console to the steering column. Audi says this creates a clearer console layout, while the India page also highlights a raised seating position and a panoramic display. The exterior adopts a larger Singleframe grille and split-light treatment associated with the third-generation model.

Audi had not published the new Q3’s India prices or a variant-by-variant equipment list by September 7. Features shown globally—including the Sonos audio system, driver-assistance functions and head-up display—may be optional or market-specific. Claims that every Indian version gets Level 2 ADAS, 20-inch wheels or an illuminated rear badge should wait for the launch brochure.
