The new corridor will include four stations. Sarita Vihar Depot, Madanpur Khadar and Kalindi Kunj will be elevated stations, while Tughlaqabad will be built underground — together forming the complete 3.9km stretch.

Kalindi Kunj will become an interchange connecting the Golden and Magenta lines, while Tughlaqabad will link the Golden and Violet lines — strengthening integration across Delhi Metro's entire network.

The new corridor will boost connectivity for residential clusters and emerging industrial pockets in southeast Delhi, providing direct access to areas such as Saket and Chhatarpur while linking Noida, Faridabad, south and west Delhi.

The Kalindi Kunj–Tughlaqabad corridor, part of DMRC's Phase V(A) expansion, is expected to be completed by late 2028. Alongside it, five Phase IV corridors are currently under construction, including extensions of the Golden, Magenta and Red lines.

DMRC says the new corridor will help reduce road congestion and emissions on the Noida–Faridabad route, as well as on roads connecting to the airport — offering commuters a faster, more efficient daily option.

Since the corridor extends the Aerocity–Tughlaqabad route, it will connect both the domestic and international terminals of IGI Airport — improving access between different parts of Delhi and the airport.
