Built exclusively for Vladimir Putin, the Senat replaced his Mercedes S600 Guard — a symbolic shift from Western luxury to Russian-made might. Every panel, circuit, and wire screams sovereignty.

The Aurus Senat emerged from the Kortezh Project, a state-funded initiative to craft fully indigenous, armoured limousines for Russian leaders. It’s more than design — it’s a geopolitical statement on wheels.

With its hermetically sealed cabin, run-flat tyres, and anti-missile shielding, the Senat can withstand direct explosions, water submersion, and high-calibre fire — making it one of the most impregnable cars ever built.

Even if pushed into a river, the Senat won’t sink. Engineers designed it to stay afloat and mobile, giving Putin a literal escape route from any attack — land or water.

The limousine packs a 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 hybrid engine, co-developed with Porsche engineers. It delivers raw speed and silent torque — accelerating from 0 to 100 kmph in under 9 seconds.

Inside, it’s a palace — hand-stitched leather, walnut inlays, reclining seats, and encrypted communication consoles. The Senat’s cabin doubles as a rolling command room and luxury suite in one.

The Senat made headlines when Putin gifted one to North Korea’s Kim Jong Un in 2024. Beyond luxury, it’s become a new export of Russian influence — sleek, armoured, and symbolic of defiance.

While the civilian Aurus Senat costs around ₹2.5 crore, Putin’s personal model is a classified variant rumored to cost double — a rolling vault of undisclosed tech, unmatched in global protection.
