GTA 6 arrives at midnight on 19 November: India price, preload and editions
GTA 6 costs ₹5,999 in India, but a new PS5 buyer needs about ₹70,989 to play it on day one. Here are the editions, preload date, launch time and the auto-renewal to watch.

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. PlayStation India lists the Standard Edition at ₹5,999 and the Ultimate Edition at ₹7,499. For anyone who already owns a console, that's the whole cost. For new buyers, the game is the smaller part of the bill.

Amazon India listed the 1TB PS5 Slim Digital at ₹64,990 and the Disc model at ₹69,985 on 28 October, according to GamingNation. Add the Standard Edition, and you pay ₹70,989 or ₹75,984. With the Ultimate Edition, it's ₹72,489 or ₹77,484. In the cheapest setup, the console is nearly 92% of what you spend.

GamingNation says the boxed version contains only a download code, not a disc. So a Disc console buyer pays ₹4,995 more for a drive that this game won't use at launch. That gap may still be worthwhile for other disc games or resale. If GTA 6 is the main reason you're buying, the Digital model is the cheaper route.

The Ultimate Edition costs ₹1,500 more. Both include the game, the Vintage Vice City Pack, one month of GTA+ and a seven-day preload on PS5, PlayStation India's listing shows. Ultimate adds an upgrade pack, which can also be bought separately. GamingNation says Standard owners can move up later for ₹1,500, so you needn't decide before launch.

The Sunday Guardian gives 12 November as the preload date, one week before launch. PlayStation and Xbox listings in India show 12:00 am IST on Thursday, 19 November, according to GamingNation. That timing comes from store pages, not Rockstar, so it could move. Rockstar hasn't published the install size, so clear plenty of storage and allow time on a slower connection.

PlayStation India says the free GTA+ month requires a digital pre-order before 20 November and must be claimed by 31 March 2027. After that month, GTA+ becomes a paid subscription that renews automatically unless you cancel before the next payment date. Set a reminder if you don't want to keep it. Existing subscribers get the month added.

No PC version has been announced, and PS4 and Xbox One aren't supported. So a gaming laptop won't help on launch day. Before buying a console, check the current price, because the figures here are from 28 October and stock can change. Compare the final checkout price, then decide whether you need day-one access at all.
