Coal India stock falls most on Nifty due to weak Q2 earnings
Its net profit fell to Rs 600.4 crore for the reporting period against Rs 2,654 crore for the corresponding quarter an year ago.

The Coal India stock was the top loser on the Nifty falling 4.43 percent after the state-run miner reported a 77.4 per cent fall in Q2 profit.
Its net profit fell to Rs 600.4 crore for the reporting period against Rs 2,654 crore for the corresponding quarter an year ago.
Revenue fell 7.7 percent to Rs 15,645 crore from Rs 16,957.6 crore last year.
At 1033 hours, the stock was trading 3 percent lower on the NSE. On the BSE too, the stock was among the top losers falling over 3 percent to Rs 296.25 level.
While, the stock closed 13 points lower on the NSE, it closed 4.42 percent or 13.50 points lower at Rs 292.25 level on the BSE.
