BlackBerry announces DTEK 50, most secure Android smartphone
This is the company's second Android smartphone and will come loaded with BlackBerry's DTEK security application which automatically monitors OS and apps and informs when privacy could be at risk along with how to improve it.

BlackBerry has unveiled yet another Android smartphone, DTEK 50. This is the company's second Android smartphone and will come loaded with BlackBerry's DTEK security application which automatically monitors OS and apps and informs when privacy could be at risk along with how to improve it.
DTEK 50 is the slim at 7.4mm and features a 5.2inch scratch resistant display. This isn't a flagship device like Priv and runs on Qualcomm 617 octa-core processor along with 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage and support for expandable memory of up to 2TB. It runs on Android Marshmallow and packs in a 2610 mAh battery too. DTEK50 boasts a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front flash camera, with both being equipped with a wide range of professional settings. These specifications are similar to that of Alcatel Idol 4.
Available for pre-order in select international markets and will be available in the week of August 8. the DTEK 50 has been priced at $299 (approx Rs 20,000) in the US market. The India launch date has not been released yet but the device is expected to be priced around Rs 25,000.
