Google's Gboard keyboard for iPhone launched in India
Eliminating the need to switch between apps, Gboard allows iPhone users to perform web search, GIFs, emojis and do more directly from the keyboard. A 45.8-MB size app, the version 1.0.1 of the app is already listed on the Apple App Store for download.

A month after launching the Gboard keyboard for iPhone users in the US, Google has now launched the keyboard app for iPhone users in India.
Eliminating the need to switch between apps, Gboard allows iPhone users to perform web search, GIFs, emojis and do more directly from the keyboard. A 45.8-MB size app, the version 1.0.1 of the app is already listed on the Apple App Store for download.
After installing the app, users will have to first add the Gboard to the keyboards list under the settings and grant it full access.
Accessing it is also easy as pressing the globe icon shows a list of activated keyboards from where Gboard can be selected. By tapping on the 'G' icon on the top left of the keyboard, you can use it for searching the web. Users can also search for gif images and emojis.
The Gboard can be used in almost any app - be it music or while typing a message. The results appears at the bottom, replacing they keyboard. It also makes easy sending information while chatting or messaging.
Rajan Patel, Principal Engineer, Google says, "Searching and sending stuff from iPhone shouldn't be that difficult with Gboard. Users can now search and send all kinds of things-restaurant info, flight times, news articles-right from keyboard. Anything users search on Google, you can search with Gboard. Results appear as cards with the key information front and center, such as the phone number, ratings and hours. With one tap, users can send it to their friends and keep the conversation going."
Gboard supports Glide Typing, which lets users type words by sliding a finger from key to key instead of tapping.
Google has not launched Gboard for Android users yet.
