Chinese smartphone player Lenovo has announced the launch of Vibe K5 Note and has updated its K5 Plus smartphone as well.

The Vibe K5 Note, priced at Rs 11,999, will compete against the Redmi Note 3 and LeEco Le 2. It packs in a 5.5-inch full HD display and will run on 1.8-Ghz MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 3 GB of RAM. The company also has a variant with 4 GB of RAM priced at Rs 13,499.

The Vibe K5 Note comes with 32 GB onboard storage and support for up to 128 GB expandable memory. For photography, it packs a 13-MP rear camera and an 8-MP front-facing camera. Lenovo has also added a fingerprint scanner. It is a 4G phone with VoLTE support, dual-SIM, and has a 3,500-mAh battery onboard.

The upgraded variant of the Vibe K5 Plus features a 5-inch full HD display and is powered by Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor paired with 3 GB over 2 GB RAM on the predecessor. It comes with 16 GB internal storage with support for up to 128 GB of expandable storage and USB OTG (on-the-go) support. The Vibe K5 Plus upgraded variant continues to retail for Rs 8,499.
