OnePlus 3 available in India for Rs 27,999
OnePlus has announced the global launch of its third flagship smartphone, OnePlus 3.

OnePlus has announced the global launch of its third flagship smartphone, OnePlus 3. The Chinese smartphone startup gained attention with its first smartphone itself, OnePlus One, that at that time offered the latest set of specifications with quality built, Cyanogen Mod at half the price of what the flagship smartphones were sold at.
Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, stated, "India has always been a special market for us and we are thrilled to launch the OnePlus 3 for our Indian users simultaneously with the rest of the world."
It features a 5.5inch 1080p Optic AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. OnePlus has gone ahead with a metal unibody design yet the device is 7.3mm thin. It boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. It is equipped with a 16MP rear camera and a 8MP front facing camera. It has got a USB Type C port and a 3000 mAh battery. It also supports Dash charge which claims to replenish more than 60 per cent of the battery in 30 minutes. With the 3.5mm audio jack on its way out, OnePlus 3 continues to have one. This is a dual SIM phone with connectivity options including 4G LTE, Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC. It runs on Oxygen OS based on Android Marshmallow.
OnePlus has tied up with Saavn and OnePlus 3 buyers in India will get 12 months ad-free Saav Pro subscription. OnePlus has also partnered with Idea Cellular for 'double data' for 12 months. OnePlus will also have an accidental damage cover for 12 months through the 'OnePlus Care app' powered by Servify.
OnePlus 3 will be launched in two colours - Graphite and Soft Gold. The Graphite variant of the OnePlus 3 is available exclusively on Amazon.in for Rs 27,999. The Rose Gold variant will be launched later.
OnePlus One was launched in India in December 2014. OnePlus 2 was launched in India in sync with the global launch. Initially, both these smartphones were available for purchase through invite only model and later went on open sale. OnePlus One came with Cynanogen Mod but due to law suits, OnePlus had to bring its own Oxygen OS on its smartphones.
