Qualcomm will likely introduce the Snapdragon 875 chipset at its December event. This will be the top-of-the-line chipset that will feature on a range of premium Android smartphones. But this time, it could be the other way around. Realme is said to be the first brand to use the upcoming Snapdragon 875 SoC on an unannounced Realme 7-series phone.

In a Weibo post, Realme's vice president Xu Qi hinted at a possible tie-up between the company and Qualcomm for the Snapdragon 875 chipset. This chipset will probably go inside a Realme 7-series phone, which might finally see a premium price sticker. We already have the Realme 7, Realme 7 Pro, and Realme 7i smartphones under the series but there have been rumours on more models under the series.

We are not sure what it is going to be called but the bet is on the Realme 7 Pro+. This smartphone is said to launch early next year, which makes sense because the chipset itself will launch at the beginning of December. This chipset could also find use in an alleged gaming phone that Qualcomm is working on in partnership with Asus.

Realme 7 Pro+, as we are calling the alleged model, might feature the ambitious 125W UltraDart fast charging technology. This smartphone is also said to come with a punch-hole display. Obviously, there will be support for 5G connectivity on the smartphone, at least for the supported markets.

Qualcomm's upcoming flagship processor will feature on a range of devices, the first few of which could belong to Xiaomi, OnePlus, and Oppo on their premium-range devices. Xiaomi is poised to launch Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro early next year but Realme might be planning to beat it in the race.
