Prahlad Joshi At BT India Showcase Roundtable: India Set To Become Global Leader In Renewable Energy

At the India Showcase on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum, India Today and Business Today hosted a discussion on India’s growth story, with Andhra Pradesh as host. Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi highlighted India’s rise as the world’s fourth-largest economy and its ambition to become the third-largest soon. He emphasized India’s leadership in renewable energy, robust supply chains, and strong private-sector participation. Joshi outlined plans to reach 500 GW of renewable capacity by 2030, advanced manufacturing, AI-driven grid management, and green hydrogen hubs, positioning India as a global clean-energy leader.
