Sandisk refreshes iXpand Flash drive for iOS devices

A global leader in flash storage solutions, SanDisk has announced the launch of its reinvented iXpand Flash drive for iPhone and iPad.

A global leader in flash storage solutions, SanDisk has announced the launch of its reinvented iXpand Flash drive for iPhone and iPad. This mobile storage device is designed to help people quickly and easily free up their iPhone and iPad storage. Available in four storage capacities - 16GB, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, Sandisk claims to have reinvented the iXpand Flash drive on the basis of the feedback received from the users.

The iXpand Flash Drive is now slim and sleek, which makes it easy to plug into an iOS device. Now, it doesn't even block a second USB port on the laptop. It now comes with a flexible connector design that makes it convenient to connect with most of the iPhones and iPads with covers snapped on. The drive has got the lighting port on one end and USB 3.0 connector on the other side. Works over iXpand App, the user interface is divided into two - iXpand and iPhone/iPad storage. Copying files between the two is easy and one can directly capture images and videos on the drive. It also allows you to play music directly from the iXpand drive on the phone or the iPad. The iXpand Flash Drive will be available on Amazon.in for the first one month and across different platforms later. The iXpand is priced at Rs 3,990 for 16GB, Rs 4,990 for 32GB, Rs 6,990 for 64GB and Rs 9,990 for 128GB.

According to the survey by AMI for Sandisk on 'Storage Consumption needs of the Indian consumer',  42 per cent users are always low on storage space, 35 per cent compalint about phone handing issues and 34 per cent complain about low battery. Amongst iOS users running out of battery, 35 per cent shares this issue daily, while 17 per cent experience this once a week, 18 per cent few times a year and 27 per cent doesn't face this issue ever. Overall, around 83 per cent people end up deleting content for freeing up space, whereas 37 per cent detect apps and 35 per cent opt for backing up content on device. Other options Such as upgrade internal memory, use mobile memory management apps, use other performance optimizer apps are preferred by few.

Adderessing the issue of low storage space and convenience of transferring contented, SanDisk has got a variety of devices for  Android and iOS smart devices. The company is offering Extreme Pro 128GB micro SD card with a transfer speed of 275 MBps. For transferring content between devices and people on the go, Sandisk has got  OTG devices including Ultra Dual USB 3.0. Flash Drives for Android  Type C, is a USB Drive with Type C port for upcoming Android devices. Connect Wireless Stick for wireless storage is compatible with both Android and iOS smartphone.
