We are just hours away from Apple's 'Let's loop you in' launch event that is scheduled at 10:30 PM IST from the company's Cupertino headquarters in California. While the company is expected to announce a few new products including 9.7inch iPad, Apple Watch bands along with software updates, the event is much talked about also because of the rumoured iPhone SE launch. There have been numerous leaks and rumours suggesting the specifications of the iPhone SE, which gives us a fair idea about what to expect from the new iPhone. Here is what we know about the upcoming Apple iPhone SE.iPhone SE, not 5SE: Pegged to be named as the iPhone 5SE, Apple seems to have dropped the '5' and is naming it as iPhone SE. Thanks to the leaked retail box, we now have clarity on the name that the device.
4inch iPhone: After much criticism about the small display when the world was moving towards a 5inch + display, Apple moved to bigger display sizes. But now, the company is once again launching a 4inch iPhone. It is pegged to look similar to the iPhone 5s, smaller size and shape, with slightly curved edges but not as similar to the iPhone 6s.
No 3D Touch: While it might have the specifications as on the iPhone 6s, 3D Touch will not be included on the iPhone SE. It will have the Touch ID-enabled home button though. A9 processor: Rumours suggest the iPhone SE to pack in the A9 processor along with the M9 co-processor. It will also feature a 12MP camera with 4k video recording and Live Photo support. Basically, it is likely to be a 4inch iPhone with the innards of the Apple iPhone 6s. It is also expected to have support for more LTE bands, and Wi-Fi connectivity that was twice as fast as previous models. Capacity: iPhone 4s came in 16GB and 32GB capacity. The iPhone 6s comes in 16GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options. The iPhone SE is likely to be available in 16GB and 64GB storage variants.India launch: Over the last couple of years, India has become an important market for Apple. In the past, Apple has cut down the launch time in India and has managed to launch the iPhone 6s within a month of the international launch. This time, India might be in the first or second phase of the launch.
