Google’s Fitbit Air makes an early retail store debut in India ahead of October launch

Google has confirmed to launch its screenless fitness tracker, the Fitbit Air, in India in October. However, ahead of its debut, the device is reportedly available for sale in offline retail stores. An X user shared photos of the Google Fitbit Air available in several colour variants, and it's selling at a slightly higher price compared to its global price.

Google Fitbit Air available to purchase in India?

An X user has posted photos claiming to show the Fitbit Air already available in a retail store. The device appears to be available in three colours: Obsidian (black), Lavender (blue/purple), and Cherry (red). However, its retail availability and exact India colour lineup have not been officially confirmed.

In the post, the user also claimed that the device is selling for Rs. 16,000 in India. However, its global pricing is significantly lower. In the US, the Fitbit Air was launched at $99.99, which is about Rs 9,400.

Google has officially confirmed that the Fitbit Air will launch in India in October 2026. However, it has not revealed the exact launch date, India price, or availability details yet. The device was previously shown at a Made by Google India briefing, where Google first announced plans to bring the tracker to India.

Google Fitbit Air is a screenless fitness tracker with a small “pebble” design. Since there is no display, users will not be distracted by notifications throughout the day. Since it is designed for continuous health monitoring, it offers features such as 24/7 heart-rate tracking, heart rhythm monitoring and AFib alerts, blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking, resting heart-rate monitoring, Heart-rate variability (HRV) tracking, and sleep-stage tracking. All this data can be accessed via the Google Health app on their connected smartphone.
