Microsoft gifts its @messenger Twitter account to Facebook
Microsoft has decided to shut down its MSN Messenger service, also known as Windows Live Messenger, after 15 years. It is now part of Skype.

After deciding to shut down its MSN Messenger service after 15 years, Microsoft is passing its twitter account (@messenger) to Facebook.
The MSN Messenger was also known as Windows Live Messenger.
In a tweet earlier this week, Redmond-based Microsoft said it is gifting the Twitter account to Facebook later this month for the social network's Messenger service.
