According to the early trends trickling in, the Thalapathy Vijay-led Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) is leading in 82 seats, whereas the AIADMK is currently leading in 44 seats.
The superstar, however, is trailing in Perambur and Trichy East. Udhayanidhi Stalin is trailing from Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni, whereas AIADMK chief Edappadi Palanisami and DMK's O Pannerselvam are leading from Edappadi and Bodinayakkanur, respectively.

Postal ballots also suggest a neck-and-neck fight between the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the BJP.
At present, Mamata Banerjee is trailing in Bhabanipur. The BJP is leading on 100 seats, whereas the TMC is leading on 112 seats in West Bengal. In Assam, the BJP is leading in 60 seats, while the Congress is ahead in 12 at present.
In Kerala, BJP's Rajeev Chandrasekhar is currently leading in Nemon, as per postal ballots. The UDF is leading on 33 seats, the LDF on 10 and the BJP on 8 seats, as per early trends. The BJP is currently leading in 3 seats in Puducherry.

According to exit polls, the BJP is likely to secure a landslide majority in Assam and Puducherry, whereas it is likely to struggle in Kerala. In Bengal, most pollsters have predicted a tight contest between the BJP and the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
In Tamil Nadu, most pollsters have predicted a strong comeback for the DMK-Congress combine.
