Renault starts pre-launch bookings of Kwid: Five key features

Carmaker Renault India on 17 September 2015 said it has started taking pre-launch bookings for its much-awaited global hatchback, 'Kwid'. It is expected to be launched in the next few weeks. Let's check out some key features.

Kwid is powered by all-new 0.8 litre engine delivering mileage of 25.17 kmpl, mated to a newly developed 5-speed manual gearbox. Renault has claimed 'Kwid' to be the most fuel-efficient petrol model in the country. The car weighs just 678 kg.

Kwid comes with various features including class leading ground clearance of 180 mm and a boot capacity of 300 litres. It also has a seven-inch touchscreen Media Nav system and a digital instrument cluster.

Renault has managed to carve generous space in the cabin with ample headroom in front and back. Luggage space is ample and possibly the best in class. Kwid is built with a tall design and has emulated SUV-like features. A pair of large headlights highlights its design and also help illuminate the road well. Priced at Rs 2.56 lakh, Kwid is expected to compete with Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon.

The car has features such as electric power steering, power assisted windows, navigation with turn by turn voice guidance and remoteless key entry.
