At a big statement made on the sidelines of an event in Mumbai, SEBI Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey has revealed that the capital markets regulator is probing possible manipulation in weekly options expiry. A White Paper on the trends is likely to the released soon detailing analysis of data on losses from weekly and monthly expiries. The statement comes days after SEBI banned Wall Street major Jane Street from D-Street for allegedly manipulating Indian derivatives market.
