
The Reserve Bank of India could soon start lowering interest rates. With real interest rates once again in positive territory and inflation expected to remain within RBI tolerance levels, the central bank governor has indicted that rates could start dipping again. In an interview to PTI, Shaktikanta Das also revealed that more than 70% of the two thousand-rupee notes in circulation had been returned and that their return will have no impact on the liquidity situation or the economy.
