Tesla Under Scanner After Model Y Steering Wheel Fall Off While Driving

Tesla is under investigation by THE US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) after the steering wheel in one of its Model Y cars came off while driving. The regulator said it's aware of two incidents in which the wheel detached from the steering column while drivers were operating the 2023 model SUVs. As many as 120,089 vehicles are covered under the preliminary probe which opened on March 4.
