U.S. President Donald Trump has unveiled a 20-point plan to end the Gaza conflict, aiming to stabilise the region, disarm Hamas, and rebuild Gaza. The plan calls for an immediate ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal, and the release of hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners. Hamas members who renounce violence would receive amnesty or safe passage, while humanitarian aid and reconstruction would be managed by the UN and neutral agencies. Gaza would be governed by a technocratic Palestinian committee under an international “Board of Peace” until the Palestinian Authority is ready. The plan includes a special economic zone, weapons collection, international security oversight, and interfaith dialogue. India, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt, and Turkey have welcomed the framework, though challenges in funding, implementation, and disarmament remain.
