Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar: No Accountability, Law Doesn’t Apply To Judges

Vice President and Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankar launched a sharp critique of the judiciary, questioning its lack of accountability and its recent actions that he says blur the lines between executive, legislature, and judiciary. Speaking at the valedictory function of the 6th Rajya Sabha Internship Program, the VP referred to a recent Supreme Court judgment involving the President’s powers over legislation, saying, “We never bargained for democracy for this day.”
