I normally do not listen to any advice, but there is one I got from a guide book for chemistry practical exams written by a professor in VR College, Nellore. The professor may not have intended this, but I took this advice seriously and applied it in every walk of my life.
The advice was: when you have a highway to reach a destination, do not choose lanes and bylanes.
