Introducing the 'Intelligent Quartz' technology in India, Timex has launched a new range called the IQ Traveller series. This uses independent motors, digital sensors and microprocessor technology that makes the watch flexible and capable of displaying an array of information and even drive three independent hands. The Traveller series watch has been designed for peregrines and can display the time in 24 cities. There is a globe on the dial along with a vintage font of the indices and curved hands.

NOKIA LUMIA 710

Announced barely a month ago at Nokia World in London, Nokia's first Windows Phone device will be in India now. Of the two WP sets launched, the Lumia 710 has a 3.7-inch capacitive Gorilla glass display and 1.4GHz processor along with 512 MB RAM. It will also feature a 5 MP camera, video recording at 720P at 30 frames per second and an 8GB internal memory storage. Available in plenty of colours, the phone will also have a photo editor and digital compass.

Although the Indian launch of the iPhone 4 was much delayed, rumours about the launch of iPhone 4S in India abound. Expected to be launched towards the last week of the Novmeber, the iPhone 4S features the same 3.5-inch display with a better processor, an 8 MP camera and the iOS 5. The biggest attraction of this smartphone is the voice-based Siri, an assistant that simplifies the way the phone is used. Also, the iPhone 4S is now available in three capacities: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB.

Sony India has introduced what it claims to be the world's slimmest compact camera. At 12.2 mm thickness, excluding the lens cover, it features a 16.2 MP sensor along with 5X optical zoom, Full HD video capture and 3D capability, including capturing 3D still images via two consecutive shots at a single click. This camera will also have an Exmor R CMOS sensor for capturing image details and will return ultra-low noise in low light conditions. It can also lock auto-focus onto the subject in less than 0.1 second. It is available in three different colours - Gold, Black and Silver.

LG OPTIMUS NET
Like the Optimus One, an affordable Android offering, LG is about to launch the Optimus Net in the country. Featuring a 3.2-inch capacitive display, it will have an 800 MHz processor in combination with 512 MB RAM. Android Gingerbread will be the OS on board. LG has also included a 3.15 MP camera, 150 MB onboard storage, A-GPS and 1500 mAh battery.

Transcend has further expanded its portable music player lineup with the MP 300.
