PHONE NUMBER & CALLER LOCATION

This app displays the city from which a call is coming to your phone. Interestingly, it also shows the last time you answered or missed a call from the same number. This works for outgoing calls as well. There is also a search feature for country codes, but it didn't work for us. If you like this app, you can purchase the ad-free version. It supports selected countries including India.

The interface is neat and shows only the time, date and temperature along with the description of the current weather. Slightly dragging the finger from top to middle pops up the weather prediction including the maximum and the minimum temperature for the next three days. The most innovative of them all is the minute-by-minute weather prediction that can be accessed by swiping the finger slowly from the bottom to the top. Pinching in minimises the apps, giving access to settings.

This weather app has a easy interface with a lot of elements on the top as well as bottom. The imaged it fetched for our city had green grass and blue sky with a shining sun and looked a bit artificial. There were details of location, date and day along with the temperature, humidity and the description of the weather. The app also has forecasts which shows the temperature for the coming week, news and videos. There is also a video tab.

Oldify is a fun app that shows how one will look when they grow old. Snap the image matching the grid appearing on the screen, adjust where the mouth and eyes are and you are done. The app will process the image and within seconds come up with the results that will make you smile. Adding to the fun element, the app animates the image with a cough, a sigh or a wink.

The app captures a new image or fetches an old one for instant editing. The mode has five options that changes the tone of the image. This is one setting that we loved to use. The Pen can be used for adding a sign or a message to the image.

There are five segments for free, after which you need to buy more segments. All the modules are made in game format and do not bore the kids. In fact, it becomes an addictive pastime after a few days.
