Now: A similar AC now sells for Rs 19,000, a 38% drop in 10 years. For Rs 31,000 you can get a 2 ton split AC.
Then: If prices keep falling at the same rate, a 1.5 ton window AC may cost you about Rs 12,000 in 2018.
Fall in prices has been accompanied by rise in choices, a double delight for consumers. But remember you still pay more for an AC than for an air cooler.
